Kilkenny Weekend : September 2015

An absolutely brilliant weekend away down in Kilkenny - certainly three of the best courses you'll find anywhere...!!
Mount Juliet was just a pleasure to walk around, the course was beautiful. Castlecomer is a great track with half dozen holes you'll not see on any other course in Ireland - a great day out. And Mount Wolseley was in great shape and a super course. The hotel, The Kilford Arms, was very nice and the staff throughout the hotel were very nice to us and looked after us very well.

Briliant work by all the committee made it a really enjoyable and thoroughly sociable ocassion for all the members and guests.
The weather was nothing short of ideal/fantastic/sunny - all of the above.!!
Overall winner of the weekend was Eamonn McAuley who has really found his mojo this year. Damien McAuley was a close second and Denis McCarthy dug deep to come in third place.
Best visitor - no surprises - was the consistantly steady, Mick Flavin. Also great to see Brian Foy and Paddy Boyd visiting with us again and it was especially great to see Eugene Murphy back on the course with us.
Well done to you, THE MEMBERS - you are the people who make the event, you are the people who represent the society with respect and pride and you are the people who bring a sense of comradery and togetherness to the society. Once again, you excelled yourselves.
