Captain's Day, Powerscourt: July 2015

A brilliant day at Powercourt East Course for the Captain's Day and a good turn out from both members and guests. Captain Pete was first to drive off on the first and straight down the middle it was on a lovely looking course. Some good scoring on the day with Eamonn McAuley bringing in 34 points to win top prize and Jimmy Heffernan, playing off 2.5, with an impressive 34 points also to carve his name into second spot. No deuces on the day so we have a roll-over. Nearest the pin was Pistol Pete and top visitor was Kevin Byrne - nice to see him out on the course with us again. Martin O'Byrne and Mark McCormack took the snaps, Don worked hard sourcing the prizes and Captain's Balls prize was picked up by Sean "who put that bunker there" Davy. A splendid day out on the fairways.
