Dungarvan Weekend : September 2014

 

What a brilliant weekend away - one of the best...!!
Dungarvan Town was our host venue this year and it was truly a great experience. All three courses were fantastic and the hotel, The Park, was one of the best we've experienced in recent years.
The organisation and hard ground work of all the committee made it a memorable ocassion for all the members and guests.
The weather was very good and the craic was, well, nearly ninety!
Overall winner of the weekend was Jimmy Heffernan with Martin O'Byrne and Peter McCuskey not too far off the pace in second and third respectively.
Special nearest the pin prize went to Mick Flavin. The prize was to mark the memory of the society's long time member and friend, PJ Kelly who sadly passed away recently.
The deuce money was claimed by Stephen Brennan and Brian Foy.
